Create your first workspace in Thinkly

What this page is for

Use this setup when you are opening Thinkly for the first time and want one clean starting point instead of ten half-defined pages.

Thinkly works best when the first page maps to a job you already repeat:

  • weekly posts
  • GTM update notes
  • AI sales outreach research
  • client memo prep

Step by step

  1. Sign in with Google and land on the main app.
  2. Ignore advanced settings for now. Start from the dashboard and create one page.
  3. Name the page after a real output, not a vague topic. Founder weekly posts is good. Marketing is weak.
  4. Save one useful thing into Thinkly right away: a clip, a link, a file, or an AI answer.
  5. Open the page and make sure the first saved material belongs to that same workflow.

Dashboard

The dashboard is your operating surface. It is not a knowledge dump. Use it to enter one workflow and move quickly to pages, clips, AutoClip, or Briefings.

First page

Your first page should answer one question: "What work will I keep coming back to?" If the title cannot answer that, rewrite it.

Why pages matter early

Thinkly becomes useful when saved material starts landing in working pages. A page gives later features a home:

  • clip review
  • generation
  • Topic Wiki context
  • graph connections
  • publishing

Common mistakes

  • Creating several vague pages before you have any material.
  • Using category names instead of workflow names.
  • Saving clips without deciding which page they should eventually support.

What to do next

Open the capture guide next and put real material into Thinkly before creating more structure.
