for the Thinkly web app, extension, and related services
This Privacy Policy explains how Thinkly, operated by PlugLab, collects, uses, stores, and protects information across our website, product, browser extension, waitlist, and related services.
Data Collection
What We Collect
- Content you choose to save Highlights, clips, page content, uploaded files, tags, titles, notes, and other materials you intentionally save or generate inside Thinkly.
- Account and profile information Your name, email address, sign-in provider details, and basic account settings when you create or use a Thinkly account.
- Usage and product data Operational events such as feature usage, run history, billing state, waitlist submissions, and basic device or browser information needed to secure and improve the service.
What We Don't Collect
- The contents of websites or files you do not intentionally save to Thinkly
- Your passwords or full credentials for third-party services
- Payment card numbers on our servers
- Your private Google Drive, Gmail, or unrelated third-party account content
- Sensitive personal information unless you choose to include it in content you save
Data Storage
Local-Only Mode (Default)
- Saved extension data can remain locally in Chrome's storage when you use Thinkly without cloud sync.
- Local-only usage does not require an account.
- You control deletion by removing items or uninstalling the extension.
Cloud Sync Mode (Optional)
- Cloud features require an account and store your saved content in our hosted database.
- Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
- We retain operational logs and backups only as reasonably necessary for security, reliability, and recovery.
- You can request deletion of your account data by contacting support.
Data Usage
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure Thinkly
- Store, sync, organize, and export the content you save
- Power product features such as pages, briefings, AutoClip, widgets, and generated outputs
- Authenticate accounts, manage subscriptions, and respond to support requests
- Analyze product performance and improve reliability and user experience
We do not:
- Sell your personal information
- Use your saved content for advertising targeting
- Share customer content with unrelated third parties except as needed to run the service
- Train public AI models on your saved content without your explicit permission
Third-Party Services
Google OAuth
- Used for authentication when you sign in with Google.
- We request only the basic identity data needed to create and secure your Thinkly account.
- We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, or other unrelated Google data unless a separate feature clearly asks for it.

Your Rights
- Access, update, export, or delete content you control in Thinkly
- Use eligible features in local-only mode without enabling cloud sync
- Request account deletion or support for privacy questions
- Depending on your jurisdiction, exercise additional privacy rights available under applicable law
Security
- Data in transit is protected using HTTPS/TLS.
- Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel and service providers with a legitimate business need.
- We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
Children's Privacy
Thinkly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide notice through the product, website, or email when appropriate.
